Mold is a microscopic spore that exists naturally everywhere including indoors and outdoors which are carried by air currents. When mold spores land on a moist surface suitable for life, they begin to grow. Typically this can occurs after water damage to a home or facility, by a flood, leaky roof, indoor plumbing issue, or a high moisture can cause interior mold growth. Mold growth requires moisture and food sources and a substrate capable of sustaining growth. Common building materials like wood, drywall, furring strips, carpet, carpet pads, insulation, wall paper, dust, paints, upholstery, ceiling tile to name a few. Once mold grows it can cause damage to the building materials and home or facility as well as potential significant health risks.
